MTAC Orange County Branch Theme Festival

The Branch Theme Festival of Orange County Branch will be held on December 3th, 2011. It is an adjudicated festival with written comments for each student about their performance. The aim of the festival is to encourage all participants to express their understanding of the music and excel in performance. Top 25%
of the students will receive gold medals, 25% will receive silver, 25% will receive bronze and 25% will receive
honorable mention ribbons. Students can take the opportunity to practice performance skills in a helpful and
friendly environment, and/or embrace the challenge of competing for the gold medal.

*Note: This program is not the same as the theme festival of the CM Convention program.

Co-Chairs: Ming-I Chen and Joan Lai
Theme: The Classical Period (work by composers listed in the MTAC Piano syllabus revised in 2007, page 98 under The Classical Period)
* Each student will play one piece or one movement only.
* Each teacher may enter up to 15 students.

Registration: Online registration starts on September 15, 2011

Registration Deadline: October 31, 2011
Fee: $30 dollars per student. Please write one check for your studio, payable to MTAC, Orange County Branch. Mail the check to Joan Lai (postmark deadline November 1, 2011).
