Branch recitals held annually to encourage the study of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Outstanding students are chosen to perform in the Southern California Junior Bach Festival. The recitals are open to keyboard, instrumental, and vocal students. This festival is adjudicated.

Fees: $30.00 per student - $25 teacher non-involvement fee

COMPLETE WORKS AWARDS RECITAL: Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, 2:00 PM at the First Congregational Church of Los Angeles, Main Sanctuary.
CONCERTO AUDITIONS: Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 @ Daniel Recital Hall, Cal. State University, Long Beach. The first place winner will perform as soloist with the highly acclaimed Los Angeles Bach Festival Orchestra at their Young Persons Concert on Friday morning, Oct. 22, 2011. This year, in celebration of the Southern California Junior Bach Festival's Golden Jubilee year, SCJBF has donated $6,000 to the Los Angeles Bach Festival to go toward the production costs of their annual Young Persons Concert. Please encourage teachers with outstanding students to take part in this year's Concerto Audition. Sue Scofield chairs this event. (Rules and applications are online).
