   Composition Contest      

       

 

 

Composers’ Today Orange County/Orange County North  Branches Combined Composition Contest

 

Students aged 6-18 submit an original composition. The judge writes constructive comments for all entries and chooses 1st and 2nd place winners in various age categories. Winners receive a trophy. All entrants are invited to play at the Composers Festival Recital where awards are presented.

Contest Deadline: March 25, 2008

 

Fee  Varies according to age and length of composition.

          Check the fee schedule found in the newsletter.  

          Application: will be printed in the newsletter or you may request one from Carol Hills.   

          You should also request a copy of the judge’s form. You may copy one for each student. Eligibility Requirements: Composition manuscript must be done entirely by the composer,  

                                          either by hand or by computer.

Time Limit: Composition may be of any length..

              Performance at Festival Recital is limited to five minutes.

Make one check from your studio payable to MTAC/OCN Branch. Please do not send checks from the parents of your students. Enclose a self addressed stamped envelope for return of all materials to you.
