Orange County Branch Theme Festival - The Branch Theme Festival of Orange County Branch will be held at the end of the year. It is an adjudicated festival with judges who will give written comments to each student. 25% of students will receive gold medals, 25% silvers, 25% bronzes and 25% honorable mention ribbons. The goal is to encourage all participants. For the non-competitive students, it is a program to practice performance. For the more competitive students, they can challenge the gold medal.

 * This program is not the same as the theme festival of the CM convention program.

 Theme:    The Impressionistic/Contemporary Period (work by composers listed in the MTAC

                  Piano syllabus revised in 2007, page 100-106;  Violin syllabus page 110-112

 

* One piece or one movement only

* Each teacher can only enter up to 15 students.

Date:    Sunday  November 22, 2009

Place:   Chapman University 

Divisions: (Age on November 1, 2009)

            I           9 and under                   Time limit:         2 min.

            II          12 and under                 Time limit:         3 min.

            III        15 and under                 Time limit:         5 min.

            IV        19 and under                 Time limit:         7 min

 Registration:      Registration starts on September 15, 2009

 Registration Deadline: November 2, 2009

 Fee: $30 dollars for each student. Please write one check for your studio payable to MTAC, Orange County Branch.
